3729044 - Error: "Application not found" after installing SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.3 or 2025

Symptom

  • Error message: "Application can not be found going to http://localhost:<port number>/BOE/CMC" when trying to open CMC from Start Menu or dropping the URL into an IE URL section.
  • Issue occurs after installing 4.3 or 2025 following a base system restore.
  • Attempting to start the application resulted in it opening with Internet Explorer, which is not supported.
