I-9 Audit Trail displays I-9 or E-Verify activities (e.g., Section 2 updates or case creation) for employees even after their termination or retirement date. 

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Access the I-9 audit trail report.
2. Identify retired employees with I-9 processes and E-Verify submissions
3. Review the audit trail entries for these employees.

The I-9 Audit Trail is designed to log and retain all historical actions related to I-9 and E-Verify processes. Any system or user-triggered updates are recorded with their actual execution timestamp, regardless of the employee’s employment status.

• This is expected system behavior. The audit trail cannot be modified or deleted, as it ensures compliance by maintaining a complete history of all I-9-related activities.
• If this behavior does not meet business expectations, an enhancement request can be submitted.
