Symptom
- The system did not trigger the signature step for a candidate who completed all required steps.
- The candidate was hired without completing the signature step because the auto MPH process was triggered.
- Compliance forms signature step is pending.
- The affected user’s signature status is showing as "Declined" in the system, and multiple rules are configured for the assigned form.
- The condition used in the business rule is "Native Preferred Language," and the affected user’s language is Portuguese.
- The docFlowSignatureStatus in the BPE Monitor process is showing as "CANCELLED."

Reproducing the Issue
- Complete all required steps for onboarding a candidate in SuccessFactors Onboarding.
- Observe that the system does not trigger the signature step for the candidate.
- Verify that the candidate is hired without completing the signature step due to the auto MPH process being triggered.
- Check the compliance forms signature step and observe that it is pending.
- Review the BPE Monitor process and identify that the docFlowSignatureStatus is showing as "CANCELLED."
Cause
User already hired and customer not okay to trigger compliance out the system
Resolution
- Complete the compliance process outside the system.
- Alternatively, if a system-driven process is required:
a. Terminate and purge the user.
b. Re-initiate the onboarding process.
c. Evaluate this option carefully as it may have broader data implications.
