Symptom

When using the backend query A_JournalEntryItemBasicQuery (service API_JOURNALENTRYITEMBASIC_SRV) as the source for SAP Analytics Cloud, the field or dimension Depreciation Area is not available in the query definition or metadata.

This can be observed, for example, when checking the import query used by the SAP Analytics Cloud business content model SAP_FI_IFP_IM_CAPEX.
