3729872 - Curricula Connector fails with Fatal error: nullpointerexception 'vos[i] is null' when adding already linked subject area/category

Receiving an error when importing curriculum via connector when adding already linked subject area/category:

• "NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "com.plateausystems.elms.bo.qualification.valueobject.QualificationSubjectAreaVO.getQualificationID()" because "vos[i]" is null".

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Place the Curricula connector input file on the configured SFTP location >
2. Run the curricula connector job >
3. Observe the job ends with a Fatal error.

Known product defect triggered when the curricula connector attempts to add a subject area/category that is already linked to the curriculum, resulting in a NullPointerException during processing.

Our Engineering team concluded their work on the code correction and confirmed that it will be available with the 1H2026 product release for Preview environments: April 13th, 2026 and for Production environments: May 15th-16th, 2026.

For VSaaS environments, patch rollout is targeted for: Preview: April 10th, 2026 and Production and pre-production: May 2nd, 2026.

After the fix is available on your environment, rerun the connector.
