3729921 - Compliance Forms Update with New Zealand KiwiSaver Contribution Rate Increase 3.5% - Onboarding

Symptom

The New Zealand government has legislated an increase to the minimum KiwiSaver contribution rates for both employees and employers, effective 1 April 2026.

As per the latest legislative update, the minimum contribution rates under the KiwiSaver scheme will change as follows:

  • Current rate: 3% (employee and employer)
  • New rate: 3.5% (employee and employer)
  • Effective date: 1 April 2026

At this time, the official documentation (PDF/link) from New Zealand authorities has not yet been released.
