3730135 - Editing export to pptx in story outline hangs or opens after long delay in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Story become unresponsive while attempting to open the export options pane.
  • Selecting the Export to PowerPoint (PPTX) in the story outline (edit mode) either hangs indefinitely or takes a few minutes before the right pane (export options) appears.
  • The expected behavior is that the right pane opens immediately to allow changing the PowerPoint export options.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Open the affected story in edit mode.
  3. Open the Outline panel.
  4. Under Scripting, select: ExportToPPTX_1
  5. Observe that the right-side pane with PowerPoint export options does not open immediately, may take minutes, or the story may hang forever.
