3730405 - Story page scrollbars are inconsistent between preview and view mode in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • There is a difference in scrollbars appearing in the story on the side and on the bottom of the page when viewing it in lite viewer mode vs when viewing it in full viewer mode.
  • In lightweight viewer, there is an extra scrollbar on the bottom.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud Version 2026.2.10

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAC.
  2. Open story.
  3. Notice that there are extra scrollbars on the story page that may appear either at the bottom or on the side, when in lightweight view mode, and only one scrollbar, on the side, when in full viewer mode.

Cause

In Lite Viewer mode, the story layout is optimized differently and scroll bar visibility depends on browser rendering behaviour. When zoom levels deviate from 100%, content scaling can exceed the viewport width, triggering horizontal scroll bars.

Resolution

  • Set the browser zoom level to 100% (default) to prevent the scroll bar from appearing in Lite Viewer.
