Symptom

  • The (ONB) Legal Entity Transfer User Welcome Message Template is not sending for new hires who have SSO accounts.
  • No records of the email are found in Email Services > Email status.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Onboard a new hire that uses SSO.
  2. The (ONB) Legal Entity Transfer User Welcome Message Template is expected to send to the new hire.
  3. Check Email Services > Email status and observe no record of the email being sent.

Cause

  • The recipient email cannot be resolved because the new hire has no personal email maintained; only a work email is available. As a result, the system builds an empty recipient list and does not send the email.

Resolution

  1. Maintain a personal email address for the affected new hire before the notification is sent.
  2. Review the (ONB) Legal Entity Transfer User Welcome Message Template recipient configuration and ensure it resolves to the new hire’s valid email field 
  3. Update the onboarding data (for example, re-save NHDR with the personal email if applicable) so the system can resolve the recipient.
  4. Monitor Email Services > Email status to confirm the message is queued or sent.
