3730772 - Add to Metric List option is not visible in Optimized Story and My Metrics menu is missing in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• The "Add to Metric List" option is not visible when right click a bar chart in an optimized story in SAC.
• The issue persists across all stories, including newly created simple stories without known limitations.
• The "My Metrics" menu item is missing on the left side menu.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

1. Open an optimized story with a bar chart.
2. Right-click the chart to add a metric to My Metrics.
3. Observe that the "Add to Metrics List" option is not present.
4. Also observe that the "My Metrics" panel is not shown on the left menu.

• The assigned user role is missing required privileges: "Metrics List".

1. Ask an administrator to review the role assigned to the affected users.
2. In the role, add the "Metrics List" privilege with Read, Create, Update, Delete, and Share permissions.
3. In the role, add the "Metrics Alert and Report" privilege with at least the Create permission (required for report subscriptions).
4. Save the role changes and ensure the role is assigned to the affected users.
5. Have users sign out and sign back in (or refresh the session) to apply the updated permissions.
6. Open an optimized story with a bar chart, right-click the chart, and confirm the "Add Metric" option appears; verify the "My Metrics" panel is visible on the left.
