3731077 - richtexteditor tries to load sap/ui/richtexteditor/editortype.js (module not found) when imported directly

Symptom

  • When a custom app uses sap.ui.richtexteditor.RichTextEditor, the runtime tries to load /resources/sap/ui/richtexteditor/EditorType.js, which is not available.
  • Observed with SAPUI5 versions 1.145.0 and 1.146.0.
  • Error message: “Uncaught (in promise) ModuleError: Failed to resolve dependencies of '' -> 'sap/ui/richtexteditor/EditorType.js': failed to load 'sap/ui/richtexteditor/EditorType.js' from https://sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/1.146.0/resources/sap/ui/richtexteditor/EditorType.js: script load error.”
