3731582 - Payment Skipped “Ready for Transfer” and Moved Straight to “In Transfer”

Symptom

The approval process is already in place, and the status normally changes from 2 – In Approval to 3 – Ready for Transfer. However, in this case, it moved directly to 4 – In Transfer.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Payment Management work center.
  2. Go to Payment monitor view.
  3. Select All Payments in dropdown
  4. Search for payment 123 (123 refers to payment ID).
  5. The payment status is in 'In Transfer'.
  6. Upon checking the Changes tab, it is visible that the status moved directly from 2 – In Approval to 4 – In Transfer, skipping the step 3 – Ready for Transfer.

Cause

The checkbox “Execute Immediately” was selected during the creation of the payment. As a result, the payment skipped Step 3 – Ready for Transfer and moved directly to Step 4 – In Transfer.

Resolution

The “Execute Immediately” checkbox should not be selected if the standard process flow needs to be followed.
