3731726 - The word "Management" Causes Validation Error in Convention 3.1.Verb Object

Symptom

Task names that end with the word “management” fail Convention 3.1.Verb Object validation, even when they start with a correct verb–object pattern.

Examples:

  • Review Budget Management
  • Notify Management

Cause

The validator treats any label ending in “management” as a noun-only term (a function/discipline). This overrides the intended verb–object structure and triggers the error.

Resolution

Use one of these simplified options:

  1. Add a clarifying word so the object is unambiguously defined:

    • Review budget with the management team
    • Notify the management group
  2. Use an abbreviation if acceptable internally:

    • Notify mgmt
    • Review budget mgmt
