3731849 - Bank data pop up message does not appear when editing bank details in Maintain Business Partner App - S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When editing bank details in Maintain Business Partner App and trying to save, error message no. R1218 appears with text "Bank 123456 for country/region XY does not exist." (where 123456 stands for a Bank Key, XY for the country/region code).

Reproducing the Issue

1. Open a Business Partner in the Maintain Business Partner app
2. Click on the "Switch Between Display and Change" button
3. Go to the Payment Transactions tab
4. Enter the following Bank details (ID, C/R, Bank Key)
5. Click on Save
--> Error message no. R1218 appears with text "Bank 123456 for country/region XY does not exist." (where 123456 stands for a Bank Key, XY for the country/region code).

Please note: the issue might also appear where more fields are filled in for the Bank details, e.g. Control Key, Reference Details, etc.

Resolution

Double-click on the line with the bank details that is being edited or Select the radio button of the line with the bank details that is being edited and then click on the "Bank Data..." button and the pop up window Bank Data will appear, where it is possible to add the necessary details (e.g. Bank Name)
