3731852 - Japan address layout: inconsistent name position between international and domestic in maintain business partner print preview

In print preview, the name appears inconsistently—sometimes above the address and sometimes below it.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Maintain Business Partner app and enter the business partner number.
2. Navigate to International address.
3. Select the Kanji version.
4. Open print preview and observe the position of the name (above or below the address).

The layout is determined by the script of the maintained address. If at least 20% of the characters are Japanese, the address prints in the domestic layout (name below). Otherwise, the international layout is used (name above).

1. Open the Maintain Business Partner app and navigate to International address.
2. Select the Kanji version for the Japanese address.
3. Adjust the address fields so that:
4. 1. To print using domestic layout (name below), ensure at least 20% of the characters in the address are Japanese.
5. 2. To print using international layout (name above), keep Japanese characters below the 20% threshold.
6. Maintain the person’s name using Latin characters if an English name format is required.
7. Save the changes.
8. Use print preview to verify that the name appears in the desired position relative to the address.
