3731948 - “Next” Button Greyed Out when applying through Late stage apply - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When a candidate attempts to apply after receiving a late-stage invitation, the 'Next' button is disabled, and they cannot proceed with the application.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Candidate receives a late-stage invitation email.
  2. Candidate opens the email and clicks the application link.
  3. Candidate fills in all mandatory fields on the application form.
  4. The "Next" button is greyed out and unclickable.
  5. Candidate is unable to proceed to the next step or submit the application.

Cause

 Instruction fields are marked as required in XML templates.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, ensure every "instruction" field in all templates is configured with required=false. After updating and saving those templates, refresh the OData metadata.
