3732995 - Email provider verification fails with "verification failed" after dns setup_spf hard-fail policy blocks verification in SAP CDC

Symptom

  • Email provider/domain cannot be verified in the console.
  • Error message: "Verification Failed We are not currently able to verify this provider. Note that it can take up to 24 hours from the time you have added the DNS records to your domain before the verification will succeed."
  • DNS records were added long before the attempted verification, but verification still fails.
