3733009 - "Go to Link" configured for a different story page is not working as expected in SAC

Symptom

  • When selecting a specific cell (dimension) and clicking on the "Go to Link" option, the hyperlink navigates to a different page based on the selected dimension.
  • However, selected dimensions are not applied as a filter in the different page. Data is displayed independently of the selected dimension.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC.
  2. Open a story with configured hyperlink to a different page of the story.
  3. Right-click on one of the cells and Click on Go to Link > Select Navigate to 'page'.
  4. Notice that the page data is not displayed accordingly to selected dimensions.

Cause

Missing hyperlink settings.

Resolution

  1. Select the table widget.
  2. Open the right side panel.
  3. Under "Table Add-Ons", select Hyperlink and open the Hyperlink settings panel.
  4. Under "Hyperlink Options" enable the option "Apply Selected Dimension as a Filter".
  5. Under "Filtering Options" enable the option "Apply All Filters That Impact Visualization".
