3733051 - Unable to Change the Finance Settings Values Under 'Specify Primary Finance Settings' Activity in Starter,Partner Demo Systems - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• In the Starter and Partner Demo system, fiscal year variant and group currency are predefined as K4 (calendar year, 4 special periods) and USD.
• Attempts to change to a different fiscal year variant (for example, V3) or currency (for example, INR) are not possible in the evaluation workspace “Primary Finance Settings”.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to the activity “Specify Primary Finance Settings”.
2. Attempt to change the fiscal year variant from K4 to another variant (for example, V3).
3. Attempt to change the group currency from USD to another currency (for example, INR).
4. Observe that the settings cannot be changed from the predefined defaults.

In starter and Partner Demo systems where demo data is mandatory, only the default settings K4 (calendar year, 4 special periods) and USD are available; changes are not allowed by design.

1. Note that changing fiscal year variant and group currency is not supported in Starter and Partner Demo systems.
2. When moving to the Implementation workspace (Customizing/Development system) and configuring for the first time, select the required fiscal year variant and group currency during the “Specify Primary Finance Settings” activity.
3. Be aware this is a one-time decision; after initial selection in the Implementation workspace, these settings cannot be changed later.
