Symptom
With the latest W4 2026 form updates, customers may notice changes in how the Employer Address fields are populated within the W4 form. This may appear inconsistent with previous behavior. As part of this fix, we have corrected the mapping to ensure alignment with the I-9 form behavior and to maintain consistency across W4 compliance forms. Due to the above update, you may notice that the W4 Forms are appearing blank.

Reproducing the Issue
- Login as the candidate
- Click on card "Complete your Tax Forms"
- The personal information fields are empty
Cause
The blank fields are caused because employer address fields is now fetched via FOCorporateAddressDEFLT. In line with I9 Employer Address, the fields are fetched via defaultLocation within Company Object. Hence the defaultLocation should be enabled in Company Object.
Resolution
To make this field available, update the visibility of the defaultLocation field in the Legal Entity object by following the steps below:
- Navigate to Configure Object Definitions
- Select Legal Entity
- Click on Take Action > Make Correction
- Search for the field defaultLocation and check its current visibility (typically set to Not Visible)
- Change the visibility to Editable and save the changes
- Perform an OData API Metadata Refresh and Export to refresh the cache
- Log back in as the HR User/Candidate and verify that the field is now populated
