3734379 - Printer Queue Not Automatically Determined for Billing Output in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Symptom

When generating output messages for billing documents, no printer queue is derived automatically, and the print queue is left blank.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Maintain output configuration in the Output Parameter Determination (OPD) application.
  2. Assign the corresponding printer queue in OPD.
  3. Create a billing document and generate the output message; observe that the print queue is Empty.

Cause

A customized field in the OPD condition logic interferes with standard processing, preventing the system from correctly deriving the printer queue for billing document outputs.

Resolution

Ensure that standard OPD fields are used in the condition records so that the correct printer queue can be determined.

For testing purposes, maintain the default rule with Channel Type = “Printer”. In the Printer Settings, specify the required print queue and verify whether it is correctly derived during output generation. If the issue persists, kindly open a case with SAP.
