3735282 - Additional Homepage Cards for external users (Buddy Card) not working as expected

Symptom

  • When the buddy task is completed initially, the new hire and the buddy are successfully assigned with the homepage cards 
  • When we change the buddy, we get a warning that the previous buddy would be removed.  
  • However, the homepage cards are not updated successfully to the new hire, previous buddy and the new buddy. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1H 2026

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Complete assign Buddy task for a candidate
  2. The task is completed successfully. The new hire and the buddy are successfully assigned with the homepage cards.  

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

        3. Change the buddy, you will get a warning that the previous buddy would be removed.   

        4. All the participants are successfully notified of the change. This can be checked in Email services page

        5. However, the homepage cards are not updated successfully to the new hire, previous buddy and the new buddy. 

External Hire View:  Still shows the previous buddy. Newly updated buddy is not shown.

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
