Symptom
- In the particular Table Widget the option "Show Totals" is enabled with the following 1-1 aggregated column present:
- For “Amount (Rate)”, the aggregation type is NONE (which behaves the same as SUM).
- For “Amount (Travel)”, the aggregation type is MAX.
- The Totals is correctly shown for the aggregation type none column.
- The MAX is not correctly shown as only the 1st row is shown as total.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Platform
- Story Reports
Reproducing the Issue
- Open Report Center and run a Story report that contains a table (cross-tab) with Show Totals enabled.
- Include at least one measure aggregated with NONE/SUM and one measure aggregated with MAX.
- Observe that row-level values display as expected.
- Observe that the totals row for the measure aggregated with MAX shows the maximum single value rather than a summed total.
Cause
This behaviour is working as designed and is expected based on the current aggregation setting.
Resolution
Since the measure is configured with MAX aggregation, the table displays the maximum value. To display the total for “Amount (Travel)”, the aggregation needs to be changed to SUM.
