Frequently Asked Questions:
AI
- Do Joule features require separate licensing through AI credits, or are these functions included by default when utilizing Joule?
- Agentic AI use cases that use Joule are Premium AI features and will use the AI units defined for that feature. Please refer to the Premium AI Features in SAP SuccessFactors | SAP Help Portal for further details.
- AI-Assisted Ratings for Inferred Skills: Will AI recommend the rating, or does it take it from the attribute library?
- Gen AI will be used to recommend a rating, but it’ll be aligned to the TIH rating scale.
- If a skill is inferred and it’s new and not in TIH, will TIH be updated and will AI recommend the rating by default?
- If a skill doesn’t exist in the TIH attribute library, it must be verified by the TIH administrator before it can be tagged for Learning. When the AI-assisted proficiency ratings feature is activated, Gen AI will suggest the appropriate rating.
- Does reviewing AI‑inferred skills and ratings consume AI units each time?
- Once skills are inferred, AI units will be consumed irrespective of whether a review is conducted.
- Can AI-assisted skills association with Open Content Network Items work without duplicating all OCN items in Learning?
- Enable the AI-assisted skills association with Open Content Network Items feature first. Skills will be tagged only to courses sent after the feature is enabled.
ILX
- Quick Access to Learning Details on the Learning Home Page: Is there a reason the snack view's description doesn't keep the same formatting as the course description, ex.: bold, paragraph?
- Formatting isn't included so that the snack view stays consistent with the overall look and experience of the Learning home page.
- Why isn’t the snack layer displayed to the user in Team View, via delegate mode or when proxying someone via the Learning Administration area?
- Currently, only Learning users will have this available on the Learning home page. This isn't available for Learning managers, Learning Administrators (proxy), and delegates. These scenarios are planned for a future release.
- Snack view is available for curricula, but only items and programs appear on the Learning home page. Can it be clarified?
- Curricula itself doesn’t show up as a complete entity, so it’s available for curricula items, which stem from them.
- Setting to Require Manager for Task Observation: If an observation is set to the direct manager who’s on leave, will it be forwarded to the next‑level manager?
- No, the feature is about restricting the observation solely to the primary manager. There’s no configuration to automatically reassign the observation if the primary manager is on leave.
- Keyword Search on View All Pages in the Learning Home Page: Is there a way for the new keyword search to search all sections, rather than limiting the search to the section currently accessed?
- Searches are restricted to a single section. To have a different system behavior, it'd be possible to have an enhancement request (KBA 2090228) created for it, where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
- Minor Visual Changes in 1H 2026: Why is a disabled custom page still displayed in the dropdown of the Generate Direct Link area?
- "Disabled" isn’t a definitive status, a custom page can be re-enabled at any time. Learning Administrators control whether pages are enabled or disabled, so all pages appear in the Generate Direct Link dropdown regardless of their status.
- When is it planned to remove the legacy course search, which is displayed when a manager assigns items or a user adds courses to learning history?
- This is planned for a future release.
PCX
- Person-Centric Experience in Learning for Multiple Employments: Is PCX a mandatory update?
- No, it’s not mandatory for the foreseeable future.
- Is PCX available for all customers?
- No, it’s restricted availability for the foreseeable future. Customers who are interested can request approval and start testing the experience in a preview environment. Please, follow Person-Centric Experience in Learning for Multiple Employments | SAP Help Portal and Managing Multiple Employments in SAP SuccessFactors Learning: Person-Centric Experience | SAP Community for more information.
- Does PCX also impact on the employee profile in Employee Central?
- The impact is on the Learning side and how the user data from multiple employments is processed and stored. There’s no change in the BizX/Employee Central/Employee Profile experience.
- After PCX is enabled, will it be possible to keep multiple user IDs per user?
- No, once this is enabled, there will be one user ID for each person’s entity.
- Does Person Connector use the same mapping capabilities as the User Connector - SF?
- Yes, it’s based on the User Connector - SF, with additional mapping support for Employee Central fields and enhanced logic to process multiple employment data.
- For PCX, is it necessary to create a new custom Integration Center job, or will a standard package be provided?
- An Integration Center template is being supplied, which can be used to set up the job. Please, access Managing Multiple Employments in SAP SuccessFactors Learning: Person-Centric Experience | SAP Community for more information.
- After PCX is enabled, how will assignment profile rules be handled and which user data will be considered?
- Because a person will have only one user ID in Learning, all assignments are made to this profile. Assignment profiles have been enhanced with additional attributes to allow targeting based on primary or secondary employment data. Please, access Managing Multiple Employments in SAP SuccessFactors Learning: Person-Centric Experience | SAP Community for more information.

- No, an OCN provider can only be associated with one default library.

- “HIGH” maps to 1, “MEDIUM” to 2, and LOW to anything below that.
- Is it possible to disable the “Learning Type” filter in Enhanced Search?
- No, item types can be renamed but not hidden.
- Is there a configuration to improve the search features when selecting an observer, such as displaying User ID and position title alongside the employee’s name, and adding filters beyond just region?
- There are no plans to include more filters as of now, but improvements in the behavior of the search are planned. To assist with ideas and business requirements, please, open an enhancement request (KBA 2090228), where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
- Deprecation of SuccessFactors Learning Token Server: When is it planned to provide detailed information, such as via a transition guide, regarding this topic?
