Symptom

The search function in SAP CPQ is only working for quote number searches.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the quote list.
  2. Use the quick search bar to search by a criterion other than the quote number (for example, description).
  3. Observe that no results are retrieved.

Cause

The quick search functionality was configured to only search by quote numbers, excluding other fields such as quote description.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to setup
  2. Go to Quotes
  3. Quote list settings
  4. Navigate to Filter settings
  5. Configure the Description field (and any other required fields) to be included in Quick search
  6. Save the changes
  7. Test the quick search using a non-number field (for example, description) to confirm expected results are returned.
