3736284 - SADL execution shows frequent identical ABAP Dictionary queries during first run after metadata changes

Symptom

  • During Edit mode – Save in an application using SADL, ST12 trace shows frequent identical queries on ABAP Dictionary tables DDTYPES, DD03T, DDDDLSRC, DDLDEPENDENCY, and DDCDS_FROMCLAUSE.
  • Activity is driven by method _CHECK_VOCAN_MODEL_ANNOTATIONS of class CL_SADL_GW_VOCAN_EXPOSURE, with calls to _check_annos_for_act_prmt_rslt and _check_annos_for_elements correlating to the repeated queries.
  • Non-buffered ABAP Dictionary APIs GET_BASEOBJECTS and GET_DDLSINFO of class CL_DD_DDL_ANALYZE are called from method IS_ABSTRACT_ENTITY of class CL_SADL_EXPOSURE_CHECK.
