3736289 - Analytic model deployment fails with invalid expression (syntax near NULL) in SAP Datasphere

Symptom

Deployment of analytic models fails with an error similar to:

“sql syntax error: incorrect syntax near "NULL"” occurred while converting SQL expression: “XXXXX'”Correlation ID: XXXXXX 

Environment

SAP Datasphere

Cause

The issue occurs because underlying source objects used by the analytic Model were modified, but the analytic model was not revalidated and redeployed after the changes.

Resolution

  1. Open the affected analytic model in Data Builder.
  2. Check the fact sources section.
  3. Identify validation messages indicating modified dependent objects.
  4. Review the affected sources .
  5. Save the Analytic Model again to refresh the metadata.
  6. Redeploy the Analytic Model.
