Symptom

  • The chart cannot display query data when applying hierarchy filter in view mode base on the query from Live BW connection

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.2.10

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a story base on Live BW connection.
  2. Add a BW query as data source.
  3. Add a chart.
  4. Select one hierarchy dimension and measure for this chart.
  5. Enable hierarchy filter for this chart.
    Note that the data could display in edit mode initially.
  6. Save the story.
  7. Open the story in View mode.
    Note that the story chart cannot display the data.

Cause

Defect on BW backend.

Resolution

Implement the Note in BW side.
