3736450 - infinite loop when calling 'call screen' inside 'loop at screen' in abap dynpro

Symptom

  • A custom ABAP dynpro program enters an infinite loop or becomes unresponsive when CALL SCREEN is executed inside LOOP AT SCREEN.
  • The program repeatedly iterates over SCREEN entries after initiating a screen change from within the loop.
  • No error messages were reported.
