There is no relevance tuning algorithm in the Enhanced Advanced Search.

As a result:

  • Employees with full skill matches may receive lower scores than those with partial skill matches.
  • Employees with exact last/first name matches may appear after those with partial matches.

NOTE: The global header search and autocomplete search still have relevance tuning algorithm in place.

Enhanced People Search Engineering team is working on the long-term fix. Reference internal ticket.

In Employee Central (EC) scenarios, an inactive employee who was active on a historical date should still appear in search results when maintaining historical records; however, this is not currently supported.

Scenario:

An inactive employee can be found through Global Search and was active on a historical effective date. However, when performing a search in the Name field while correcting a historical Job Relationships record, the employee does not appear in the search results.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Search for an employee name in Global Search and confirm the inactive employee is returned as a result.
  2. Navigate to another employee’s People Profile.
  3. Go to Job Data -> Job Relationships and open the History page from the summary card.
  4. Select a historical record with an effective date during which the inactive employee was still active.
  5. Click Correct.
  6. On the edit page, search for the same employee in the Name field.

Observed Behavior:
No results are returned in the Name field search.

Expected Behavior:
The employee should be returned in the search results because they were active on the historical effective date of the selected record.

The expected fix plan is in 2H 2026

Multiple Employments tag still shows in search after GA is Discarded.

  • When adding a new GA the system will show: Multiple Employment while searching for employee. However, the same tag will stay in case the GA is cancelled/Deleted.
Both Legacy & Enhanced People Search

Expected Behavior:

The Multiple Employment tag should not be displayed for a user when the Global Assignment (GA) has been updated or cancelled.

Current Behavior:

The issue in the Global Header search was resolved prior to the 2605 release. However, in some module pages, obsolete Global Assignments can still be found in search results, causing the Multiple Employment tag to continue appearing incorrectly.

A long-term fix is planned under enhancement
