3736545 - Offboarding process does not archive for users rehired before closure period - Onboarding

The offboarding process is not automatically archived for users who are rehired before the closure period.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Terminate an user and start Offboarding with the Close and Archive rule SAP_ONB2_ProcessClosurePeriodConfig configured (for example, 90 days from termination date);
2. Rehire the same user before the configured closure period elapses;
3. Allow the archival job to run;
4. Observe that the Offboarding process is not closed automatically and tasks remain visible on the hiring manager page.

Expected behavior. The archival rule applies only to users who are currently inactive in the system. If a user is rehired before the archival job runs, the user is active again and is excluded from the automatic process closure.

Manually cancel the open Offboarding process for rehired users or adjust the closure period in SAP_ONB2_ProcessClosurePeriodConfig to a shorter interval to reduce the chance of rehires occurring within the window.
