3736677 - ASSERTION_FAILED in CL_FINS_ACDOC_CO_ADAPTER=>GET_COEP_FROM_BUFFER during posting to accounting for new company code

Symptom

When posting to accounting from SAP HR for a new company code, the system terminates with dump ASSERTION_FAILED in class CL_FINS_ACDOC_CO_ADAPTER, method GET_COEP_FROM_BUFFER.

In the sending HR system, the RFC call may fail with message similar to:
System error in system <target system>, function BAPI_ACC_EMPLOYEE_EXP_CHECK
