3736690 - Mississippi W‑4 (form 89‑350) not generated when “exempt” is selected instead dd‑2058 generated after submission

Symptom

  • The Mississippi State W‑4 (Form 89‑350) is not generated in Onboarding 2.0 when the candidate selects the “Exempt” option during the onboarding process.
  • When “Exempt” is selected on the Mississippi W‑4 (Form 89‑350), the system switches to an exemption/residency-based flow instead of standard withholding.
  • The Mississippi W‑4 form PDF is not generated or attached.
  • A “State of Legal Residence Certificate” (DD‑2058) is generated instead of the Mississippi W‑4 (Form 89‑350).

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initiate onboarding for a Mississippi candidate.
  2. Complete steps up to the compliance forms.
  3. On the Mississippi state withholding (Form 89‑350), select “Exempt”.
  4. Complete the process and observe that only the State of Legal Residence Certificate (DD‑2058) is generated instead of the Mississippi W‑4 (Form 89‑350).

Cause

This issue has been confirmed by Engineering as a product defect within the compliance process.

Expected Behavior
Both the State of Legal Residence Certificate (DD-2058) and the Mississippi W-4 (Form 89-350) should be generated when “Exempt” is selected.

Actual Behavior
Only the State of Legal Residence Certificate (DD-2058) is generated; the Mississippi W-4 (Form 89-350) is not created

Resolution

ENG Team is actively working on this issue and expect the release to be completed by the end of this weekend.
