3736930 - VL871 during Returns Delivery IDoc processing – Overdelivery Tolerance mismatch - SAP ERP & SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

  • An IDoc for a returns delivery fails with error VL871 "Actual delivery quantity exceeds the returns order quantity for item &1".
  • The error occurs when the Unit of Measure (UoM) in the incoming IDoc differs from the UoM in the reference Sales Order.
