3737203 - Filter for field "Project" is not working as expected in the app W0080 Projects - Plan/Actuals in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

In the Project - Plan/Actual app, using the “Starts With” condition on the Project filter field makes unexpected change to the data query and does not return the expected results. The same “Starts With” criteria on the Project External ID field returns expected results.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the “Project - Plan/Actual” app (ID W0080).
2. Add the top filter for “Project”.
3. Go to Define Conditions and set the filters such as:
   1. Starts With “P”
   2. Starts With “B”
   3. Starts With “U”
4. Choose Go to execute the filter.
5. Observe that entries starting with “P” are not returned.
6. Repeat the same “Starts With” criteria using the “Project External ID” filter and observe that expected results are returned.

The fields “Project” and “WBS Element” in reporting apps are deprecated. Their successors are “Project External ID” and “WBS Element External ID”.

Use the fields “Project External ID” and “WBS Element External ID” and apply the filters to those fields instead.
