Symptom
The following error appears when selecting the "Accounting" function from inside the applications VF02 and VF03 after opening a billing document and clicking the button "Accounting".
- "Sorry, the app couldn't be opened"
- The navigation target "#AccountingDocument-displayV2?" could not be resolved.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open application "Change Billing Documents" (VF02) or "Display Billing Documents" (VF03).
- Select a billing document.
- Choose Continue.
- After the document loads, select the "Accounting" button.
- Observe the error message "Sorry, the app couldn't be opened" and the navigation target could "#AccountingDocument-displayV2?" not be resolved.
Cause
The "Accounting" navigation target (#AccountingDocument-displayV2) is provided via the business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_GL_AUDIT_PC; without this catalog assigned to the user's role, the launchpad cannot resolve the target.
The user needs access to the application "Display Journal Entries" - Display Journal Entries - Fiori Apps Library
Resolution
- Assign the business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_GL_AUDIT_PC to a business role and assign that role to the affected user.
- Repeat the steps in VF02/VF03 and select the "Accounting" button to verify the app opens without the navigation target error.
