Symptom
- Error while exporting Position: "Failed to submit the request. Please try again or contact Technical Support."
- Backend logs show HTTP 502 errors with code "ServiceUnavailable" and message indicating a gateway received an invalid response (error code 502).
- When attempting to run the "MDF Object Definition to DB SYNC" job, the message "Cannot schedule this job due to the following errors: This job type has been disabled for the company." can appear after a failed instance refresh.

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Import and Export Data.
- Select Export Data.
- Choose the Position object.
- Click Export.
- Observe the error message: "Failed to submit the request. Please try again or contact Technical Support."
Cause
A recent instance refresh was performed in the system and it was not successful. A backend API service restart caused HTTP 502 gateway errors during instance refresh–related API calls, leaving the refresh in a failed state that impacted export operations.
Resolution
- Check whether a recent instance refresh was performed and verify its status; identify if it is in a failed state.
- If the instance refresh failed, perform a manual revert of the failed refresh to restore the environment to a stable state.
- After the revert, confirm the backend API services are operational (no ongoing 502 gateway errors).
- If applicable, re-enable any scheduler jobs disabled by the failed refresh.
- Retest exporting the Position object via Import and Export Data.
- If a refresh is still needed, submit a new refresh request and confirm exports succeed afterward.
