Symptom
Before 1H 2026, when a job requisition was deleted, the applications related to the job requisition were not moved to an appropriate disposition status. Due to this, there may have been applications in the system which were still in In Progress status, even after they have passed the retention time. Due to their status, these applications never get picked by the Legacy/DRTM Inactive Candidate Profile purge job if "Do not purge Candidate Profile if there are existing applications in the system for that candidate" was enabled in Manage Recruiting Settings.
The workaround was to restore requisitions and move applications manually to Disqualified statuses. Now with the 1H 2026 release, there is a new switch that can be enabled that will no longer block the candidate profile purge if they have applications on a deleted requisition.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Resolution
- Admin Center>Manage Recruiting Settings
- Enable "Do not purge Candidate Profile if there are existing applications in the system for that candidate"
- Enable "Include candidates with in‑progress applications from deleted requisitions in the purge”
- Run DRTM Inactive Candidate Profile Purge
- Candidates that had in-progress application on a deleted job req are now included in the purge report and eligible for purging
NOTE: When the Candidate Profile becomes eligible for purging after enabling the new switch, it will be anonymized in the next Legacy/DRTM Inactive Candidate job. However, the Job Applications will not be anonymized by the same job. Instead, Job Applications linked to deleted Job Requisitions will be flagged and processed ONLY in the next DRTM Job Application job.
