3737503 - Shell Bar text not visible after enabling Latest Shell Bar

• Text entered in the search bar is not visible while typing
• Text becomes visible only when hovering over the field

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Enable the Latest Shell Bar
2. Open the global search field in the Shell Bar and start typing.
3. Observe that search results appear but the typed input is not visible unless the text is highlighted.

The system text color is the same as the Shell Bar background.

The options to change the Shell Bar theming will be available only in the 1h2026 release.

The new Shell bar is only available in Preview in 2511 version, and will be moved to production with the 1h2026 release (May).

No theming configuration is available in 2511 version, but it will be introduced in 2605 version.

The Admin configuration is called “Enable Latest Shell Bar" in 2511, and in 2605 it will be renamed to “Enable Sap Experience Updates"

Hence:

• Customer’s Production system doesn’t have the New shell bar setting nor theming setting until 2605 is released.
• Customer’s Preview system should have the Latest Shell Bar setting, but not have the theming yet.

With 2605 version customers should have access to the following settings:

• Enable Sap Experience Updates
• Theming: Fine Tune-> Header Text and Icon Color

This will allow customers to change the theming in the Shell Bar.
