3737622 - Global search shows inactive status for active users

Symptom

Employee status for users with multiple employments (one as active and another as inactive) shows inactive in the global search when searched by username.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the instance.
  2. Search for an employee in the global search bar using their username which is associated with multiple employments (active and inactive).
  3. Observe that the employee status shows "inactive" despite being active in the system.

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.

Workaround

  • Search for the users with their full name.
  • Search for the users with "active username" to retrieve only active records.
