3737755 - Error QP335 - Check the sample unit of measure(Proposal: Operation unit of measure) when migrating inspection plan.

Symptom

While migrating inspection plans in app "Migrate your data" via Migration Cockpit (LTMC), below errors are raised: 

  • BAPI001 - No Instance of object type InspectionPlan been created. 
  • QP 335 - Check the sample unit of measure(Proposal: Operation unit of measure).

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app “Migrate Your Data” and select a project that includes the migration object related to the inspection plan.
  2. Upload/prepare the inspection plan template and run “Simulate Migration”.
  3. Observe that the simulation completes with the above errors.

Cause

The migration template does not contain a valid Sample unit of measure(ISO format) in the characteristics tab.

Resolution

To resolve the error follow the below steps:

  1. Open the relevant inspection plan template.
  2. Provide Sample Unit of Measure and Base Sample Quantity in the Characteristics tab, and align them with the Operation unit of measure where applicable.
  3. Complete and validate the plan master data.
  4. Assign MICs to the relevant operations in the operations tab.
  5. Maintain plan-level UOM values consistently across tabs.
  6. After maintaining all the necessary fields, Open app "Migrate your data".
  7. Select the relevant inspection plan.
  8. Upload the updated inspection plan template.
  9. Re-run “Simulate Migration” to verify that errors are resolved, then execute the migration.
