Scenario 1:
For any candidate who is hired via Rehire on Old Employment, the "info text" under Profile Preview is displayed incorrectly.
- Expected Info Text: The Onboarding New Hire data is View only until the entire hire process is complete. Once complete, users with the appropriate permissions can edit the data
- Actual Info Text: The Onboarding New Hire data is editable since the entire hire process is complete.
Scenario 2:
- For a New Hire who has not completed Manage Pending Hire (MPH) step, we see incorrect Info text - The Onboarding New Hire data is editable since the entire hire process is complete
- The details on Full Profile are not editable. Only the Info text is incorrect.
- Issue is with few HR/Onboarding participants when they access New hires Profile Preview.
Scenario 3:
Onboarding New Hire tag appears in the Latest People Profile display for users who are no longer onboardees or external users.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue
Scenario 1:
- Login as HR/ HR Admin
- Navigate To Onboarding Dashboard > Add filter "Hire Type" = Rehire on Old Employment --> Click "Go" to search new hires in Dashboard.
- Click on the Profile Preview Icon of any rehire candidate
Scenario 2:
- Login as HR/ HR Admin who does not have "Employment Details MSS” RBP for Onboarding new hires
- Navigate To Onboarding Dashboard > Add filter "Hire Type" = New Hire --> Click "Go" to search new hires in Dashboard.
- Click on the Profile Preview Icon of any New Hire candidate
Scenario 3:
- Open Employee Profile of a user
- Start date passed
- Notice Onboarding New Hire/Recruit tag still appears
- Go to Data Inspector > Table_USERS_SYSINFO
- Filter with user sys id or username
- Check the Valid column and it is t, which means the user has become an active employee. (If it is still e, external user, please refer to KBA 3026274 - Candidate Profile Still Inactive After Start Date (Main KBA) - Onboarding)
Cause
Scenario 1:
This is a Known Issue.
Scenario 2:
- This is due to missing permissions for the affected HR/ HR Admin
- If the View/Edit actions are not appearing or incorrect in the employee profile, then this is due to latest People Profile is not enabled. This feature will work only on PPX and not PP3. NOTE: The Label and the Info test will appear regardless of latest people profile enabled or disabled.
Scenario 3:
This is a Known Issue.
Resolution
Prerequisites:
- The customer is using the latest People Profile, which is already Universal.
- For "Info" text to be shown correctly, the logged-in user should have RBP "Admin Center→ Permission Role→ User Permission→ Employee Data→ Employment Details MSS → at least "View" permission is granted for the target external User

Workaround
No workaround is available.
Scenario 2:
- The logged-in user should have RBP "Admin Center→ Permission Role→ User Permission→ Employee Data→ Employment Details MSS → at least "View" permission is granted for the target external User
- Ensure the target population includes Onboarding external users
- Ensure the latest People Profile is enabled
Use cases:
- Business Use Case 1: HR Admin/ Responsible User/ Manager, Accessing New Hire Profile preview or Full Profile
- Business Use Case 2: Logged user is Proxying as HR Admin/ Responsible User/ Manager, Accessing New Hire Profile preview or Full Profile
Steps:
- Log in as HR Admin/ Responsible users. (Refer to the pre-requisite)
- Navigate to Onboarding Dashboard > Add filter "Hire Type" = New Hire --> Click "Go" to search new hires in Dashboard.
- Click on the Profile Preview Icon of any New Hire candidate on the Dashboard Preview/ New Hire Details page/Full Profile
- The scenarios mentioned in the table below will be applicable for Business Use case 1 and Business Use case 2.

Workaround
While the permanent fix is being developed, the following workaround is available for affected customers:
- Open a support ticket requesting a script execution to update the worker type for any affected candidates.
Support Engineers Refer to the Internal Memo for script execution details and instructions before proceeding.
