3737983 - No Approval Workflow for Create Customer Projects App in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • No workflow is triggered during the creation of a customer project
  • No approval step is available when saving or creating the project
  • Customer projects can be created directly without any workflow-based validation
  • Control is only possible via business roles/authorizations or project stage changes

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Plan Customer Projects app.
  2. Start creating a customer project and navigate to the Information tab.
  3. Observe that no workflow option or standard workflow is available for project creation.

Cause

Workflow for customer project creation is not delivered as standard content in the product.

Resolution

Manage Workflow Scenarios Fiori App will provide you the view on available workflow content in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition. For professional services EX. Workflow for Project Billing Request PS-BIL (Project Billing) .

Workflow about project creation for customer projects does not exist as standard content. However you can use SAP Build Process Automation to create the project creation workflow. Visibility scenario in SAP Build Process Automation allows you to track the performance of end-to-end processes by providing visibility and intelligence to processes within the business process project.
