3738091 - onView and onChange rules to hide fields does not work properly in Dependents portlet - Employee Central

An onView or onChange rule to hide fields in Dependents portlet sets values correctly in Rule Trace, however the fields are not hidden in UI.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to Employee Profile;
2. Click to add a Dependent;
3. If there's an onView rule configured, it should hide field X. If there's an onChange rule configured, change the specific field that would trigger the rule and notice the field X is not hidden.

Known limitation due to grid portlet.

The behavior occurs because onView and onChange business rules do not fully support all functionalities within the PP3 experience.

To ensure full compatibility and enable all supported features, it is recommended to activate the latest Editing and History UI for Employee Central HRIS entities.

Steps to enable:

1. Navigate to Configure Latest People Profile;
2. Go to General Settings;
3. Select the option "Enable the latest Editing and History UI for Employee Central HRIS entities on Full Profile";
4. Click Save.

Once this setting is enabled, the system will leverage the updated UI framework, allowing onView and onChange rules to function as expected.
