3738150 - New Hire Notification Links (Buddy, Welcome Message, Recommended Items, Custom Tasks) Lead to Error Page - Onboarding

Symptom

External onboardees are unable to access onboarding-related links received via email notifications.

When accessing the link after logging in, the system redirects to:

  • “You do not have permission to access this page” error, or
  • A blank page

However:

  • The same task content (for example, Buddy, Welcome Message, Recommended Items, or Custom Tasks) is accessible via the Onboarding dashboard or checklist
  • The URL works correctly for internal or admin users
