3738466 - Error when assigning financial statement version to accounting principle in configuration

• An error occurs when attempting to assign a financial statement version (FSV) to an accounting principle in configuration.
• Error message: "Financial Statement Version XXXX does not exist for chart of accounts YCOA" (where XXXX represents existing financial statement version and YCOA represents the chart of accounts).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the configuration step Assign Financial Statement Versions to Accounting Principles or use SCCUI - 103215.
2. Click on New Entries.
3. Enter Accounting Principle "AAAA", Chart of Accounts "YCOA", and Financial Statement Version for Financials "ZZZZ" (where AAAA represents new accounting principle and ZZZZ represents new financial statement version)
4. Click on Save.
5. The following error message appears:

         Fin. statement version XXXX does not exist for chart of accnts YCOA

         Message no. FINS_FI_CLS052

         Diagnosis

         You have assigned financial statement version XXXX to accounting principle AAAA for chart of accounts YCOA.

         System Response

         For chart of accounts YCOA the financial statement version XXXX does not exist.

The financial statement version referenced in the assignment does not exist for the specified chart of accounts because it is not available (for example, still in Draft status) in Global Hierarchies.

1. Open the Manage Global Hierarchies app.
2. Locate the relevant Financial Statement Version(s) referenced by the error and the one intended for assignment.
3. If a financial statement version is in Draft, activate it so it becomes available for the target chart of accounts.
4. Verify the financial statement version exists for the specific chart of accounts.
5. Return to the configuration step Assign Financial Statement Versions to Accounting Principles and save the assignment.
6. Now the financial statement version saves without any issues.

Note - If an incorrect or obsolete assignment needs removal and deletion is blocked in SSCUI 103215.
