3738509 - Error message: 'Authorization Group (KNVV-BEGRU) is a required entry field'

Symptom

During customer data migration using the Migration Cockpit, the system throws the error message 'Authorization Group (KNVV-BEGRU) is a required entry field'.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Migration Cockpit.
  2. Select the relevant customer migration project.
  3. Upload the customer migration XML template.
  4. Proceed to the simulation step; the error appears.

Cause

  • The Customer Authorization Group field was not maintained in the migration template.
  • The Authorization Group field is configured as mandatory for customer, which enforces entry during processing.

Resolution

  • Ensure Customer Authorization Group field is filled in the migration template.
  • If this field is not required, it is currently configured as mandatory. The setting can be changed to optional in the SSCUI "103050 - Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers)".
