Symptom
ATP becomes red for Sales Order with External Fulfillment (Third-Party).
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Sales Orders work center
- Go to Sales Orders view.
- Search for and open the Sales Order ABC. (ABC represents the Sales order ID)
- Go to the Items tab
- Select the relevant Line Item
- Observe that ATP is red.
- Perform Check Availability.
- Observe the warning: "The source of supply cannot be determined; check the sourcing-relevant master data."
Cause
- The complete Delivery Indicator is checked in the Sales Order.
- For externally fulfilled (third-party) sales orders, the Complete Delivery indicator is not transferred to purchasing and thus not passed to the external supplier. When this indicator is enabled the ATP changes to red in Sales Order.
- This is standard system behavior.
Resolution
To uncheck the Complete delivery indicator, follow the steps:
- Go to Sales Orders work center
- Go to Sales Orders view.
- Search for and open the Sales Order ABC. (ABC represents the Sales Order ID)
- Uncheck the Complete Delivery Indicator in the General tab.
- Save the Sales Order.
- Go to the Line Items tab
- Select the relevant Line Item
- Perform Check Availability
- ATP changes to green
