3738734 - Error AA318 occurred during mid-year legacy asset transfer - SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

When performing a mid-year legacy data migration to SAP S/4HANA:

  • Both the sender and receiver assets are created as legacy assets using transaction AS91 or AS94.
  • You attempt to take over mid-year legacy full transfer(not partial) posting in S/4HANA using transaction ABUMN.
  • When posting, you receive error message AA318(Posting complete retirement not poss.with value date &)
