3738791 - multi-combobox dependent filter value help shows empty or stale items in ui5 1.96

Symptom

  • In applications using a Smart Filter Bar with MultiComboBox filters where one filter restricts another, the dependent filter’s value help shows no items in UI5 1.96 although a data request returns results.
  • After changing or deselecting the first filter, the second filter’s value help populates with items that correspond to the previous selection (stale content).
  • The same scenario works correctly in UI5 1.120 and higher.
